U3A
Last updated: 05 June 2007
The U3A (University of the Third Age) is a self-help educational movement for people no longer in full-time work. In June 2007 Pamela Dale explained more about the group's activities in Cardigan:
"U3A provides the opportunity to pursue learning for sheer enjoyment and for its own sake, as well as shared learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and the chance to make new friendships.
Cardigan U3A was started at the end of 2005 and became a member of the U3A Trust in September 2006.
Currently we run 11 courses on a varied range of topics - from cookery to industrial archaeology and from digital photography to family history.
To find out more about U3A Cardigan, you are invited to our monthly meetings on the 4th Thursday of each month at 2.00 pm in the Catholic Church Hall, Aberystwyth Road, Cardigan; or you can telephone our Chairman, John Davies, on 01239 811585, or e-mail Ivor Trevett, our Membership Secretary at ivortrevett@btinternet.com
