Heritage Society

Builth Wells street

Last updated: 29 June 2009

Builth Wells and District Heritage Society meets every other Thursday for nine months of the year from October to June. Society member Pat Power explained more about the group.

"Meetings are held at Builth Wells library at 7.30pm on the second Thursday every month throughout the year apart from July, August and September.

Each meeting we have a visiting speaker or a member to talk on a local subject of historic interest.

On Monday 2 June 2009 we launched our book "Photographs of Old Builth Wells".

It is a collection of nearly 300 old photographs to illustrate the long and varied history of the town. The books cost £10 and are available either by contacting the Builth Wells & District Heritage Society or local outlets in Builth Wells.

Anyone with any interesting photos of the town can contact me on 01982 552381."
