Last updated: 30 December 2008

Brecon Museum and Art Gallery hosts an exhibition "Ayo Gorkhali" which takes its name from the Gurkha battle cry 'The Gurkhas are Coming', between December 2008 and January 2009. Michael Gittins from Brecon told us more about the exhibition in December 2008.

  • More about Brecon Museum...

  • "The exhibition is the work of the Believe Collective which is a cross-media production company and creative network established in late 2007which is united by a desire to create compelling online new media, film, TV and mobile experiences that help to inspire social change.

On display are objects and images relating to the Gurkha history and an interactive video which is a collection of interviews with local people, Gurkha soldiers and their children.

There is also an illustrated timeline tracing the history of the Gurkhas from 7BC to present day.

The exhibition will run until 31 January 2009 and is well worth a visit."
