Location: SN275515, 8 miles north of Cardigan.
Short description: Tresaith is set in a small sheltered sandy bay named after the River Saith which cascades as a waterfall over the cliffs to the beach. There are public toilets near the beach, with wheelchair access. There is also a café, a first aid post, a shop and a pub overlooking the beach. The beach has a slipway and is a popular sailing destination.
Directions: From the A487 (north of Cardigan), take the turning at Sarnau and follow the signs for Tresaith.
Car parking: Free car parking is available for a few cars, including spaces for cars displaying disabled stickers.
Public Transport: The following buses call at Tresaith: the 550 and 551 Aberystwyth to Cardigan route and the 552 Aberaeron to Cardigan. The nearest train stations are at Carmarthen (28 miles) or Aberystwyth (32 miles). route.
Swimming: There is the possibility of being cut off by the tide to the north and south ends of the beach, but these areas are well signposted. There is usually a lifeguard/ beach officer on duty during July and August, from 11am till 6pm. Lifebuoys are provided on the beach.
Walks: Walk south along the coastal path to Aberporth and north to the small village of Penbryn.
