Location: SN582822, North of the pier Aberystwyth.
Short description: Aberystwyth North Beach is a sloping sand and shingle beach resting in a sheltered bay. During the height of summer donkeys, a bouncy castle and 'tea cup' rides along the prom ensure that there is plenty of entertainment for children. The beach also boasts all the facilities of being in the centre of a large town.
Directions: Aberystwyth is on the A487 coast road.
Car parking: There is restricted parking along the prom. Car parks can be found in the town next to the railway station.
Public Transport: There are regular bus services to Aberystwyth from Machynlleth, Cardigan and Carmarthen. Aberystwyth is also on the Cambrian rail line and the beach is a few minutes walk from the station.

Swimming: Swimming is considered safe and from mid-July to the end of August, Ceredigion's Beach Officer Lifeguard Service normally establishes patrolled bathing areas daily.
Walks: Gentle walks can be taken along the prom as far as the South Beach. For those feeling a little more energetic, the climb up Consitution Hill affords good views of the town. You an also continue along the coast path from Consti to Clarach and on to Borth, a walk of about six miles.
