What is your name?: Richie Dean
Where do you work?: All my artwork is created at home
How did you get started as an artist?: My interest in Art started in High school. I found that the Art lessons were most enjoyable and I looked forward to them. After leaving school I drew illustrations with felt tips, just for fun and a sense of achievment. From there I went on to watercolour, self taught with the aid of a few select books and then acrylics. I used to take lots of photos for reference and inspiration, but when cameras went digital, Photoshop became my preferred medium.
How would you describe your work?
Realistic impressionism digitally created using old media techniques
Do you draw inspiration from your local area?: Most definitely, being surrounded by natural beauty, it's impossible not to be inspired ......
Where has your work been shown?: My work is on show permanently at http://www.redbubble.com and I have exhibited in a few local businesses.
Do you have any exhibitions coming up?: I have a month long exhibition arranged for June 2009 at Newtown Library
Any thing else we should know?:
