Check out this slideshow of a mural designed and made in the spring term of 2008 by members of Penglais secondary school's sixth form form, working with community artists Pod and Jen Clare. Captions are by Pod Clare and the sixth form pupils:

Pod:"There were also many specific suggestions, such as it should contain smiley faces, Pop Art - comic book style, Night time - Stars and moon, Something random and spontaneous - splashed paint/ graffiti etc, Something about nature and Green issues, A maze - it looks good and is a metaphor for finding your way in life, Something about music - all young people like some form of it, Something about the hopes and dreams of 6th form kids, Optical illusions Something psychedelic, Cogs, representing thinking, learning, Images in the style of art from other cultures, Some words or text of relevance to young people and with a positive message, Footprints, representing travelling which many 6th formers hope to do, Black silhouettes of young people having fun, Someone breakdancing, Different elements flowing together, overlapping."

Wow!! Congrats to Pod, JenJo & all the guys & gals who contributed to the project!! The finished mural looks Aber-Solutely AMAZING!!! Nice to think I had a little hand in there & did my bit (: Well done to one & all.. It's Brilliant!!
