Artist Profile - Helen Rees

Helen Rees in her studio Helen Rees moved to Ynyslas two years ago and embarked on a new artistic project hand painting ceramics in her studio.

  • What is your name?: Helen Rees

  • Where do you work?: Ynyslas in Ceredigion.

  • How did you get started as an artist?: I painted as a child and attended Art School, but a change of lifestyle and a move to Ynyslas 2 years ago cemented the decision to go full time.

  • How would you describe your work?
    Varied but with a strong Welsh Heritage flavour.

  • Do you draw inspiration from your local area?: Yes

  • Where has your work been shown?: At present only at my own studio and on my web site.

  • Do you have any exhibitions coming up?: Not currently planned.

  • Any thing else we should know?: My work is all on Ceramics items such as plates and tiles.

    I would like to paint my own pottery - I like unique items. Brilliant. Would like to see more of Helen's work - in shops and galleries all over Wales!
