Local photographer Marian Delyth worked with groups of adult and young carers from Ceredigion to produce a series of photographs on the theme of "Work, Rest and Play".

The aim of the project was to encourage carers to take time out from their usual duties and learn a new skill. They were taught how to use a camera, how to develop film and how to print their photographs.

Their work was displayed in a special exhibition at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre from 11 June - 30 July 2005.

David Bartholomew's poem with the Strata Florida archway was very moving.

David from Aberystwyth
I did take part in the project. It was very informative to meet other people who had the same interests, learning what's was involved from the other side of the camera. Also how to bring together a poem from scratch It was fantastic and fasinating. Both the tutors were great, Marian Delyth was Brilliant with first timers like myself. I think the photos and the poetry are great, especially from us who have no professional experience in either poetry or photography.

Did you take part in the project? What do you think of the group's photographs and poetry? Add your comments here:
