Marathon Man

Clive Williams crossing the finish line at the 2006 Flora London Marathon

The headmaster of Ysgol Gymraeg Aberystwyth Clive Williams was among the thousands of people who took part in the 2006 Flora London Marathon on Sunday 23 April.

After training since Christmas, Clive completed the 26.2 mile course in 3 hours 51 minutes.

His efforts raised £2,500 for two local causes - the children's ward at Ysbyty Bronglais Aberystwyth and the Debra, a support group and research charity for sufferers of a rare skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). One of the pupils at Ysgol Gymraeg suffers from EB.
