"We aim to raise awareness of the beauty and sweet sounding language of Welsh in Bishop Morgan's Translation, an updated version of 1588.
It is my hope that Wales will be saturated with this sound. William Morgan gave ten years of his life working on this translation.
The name 'William Morgan' will mean something more to the people of Wales too; but above all, we want this celebration of the Bicentenary of the Regency Harbour to be attended by God's blessings, using it as the precursor to days of joy and happiness, especially with the family, and re-unions with friends and loved ones.
The Bible Readathon will be continuous in Alban Square from Midnight, Sunday night, 22 July and will run possibly to Thursday afternoon or evening 26 July.
We're asking people to come back time and again, if they will, for we will need many Welsh readers. We would like stewards to do the caring of the folks, especially readers.
There will be a children's corner where they can enjoy themselves and be cared for by Emma and her little team.
Steve is raising a prayer team and Gill is getting prepared, all in the tent, 80' x 40', to give free hospitality. Stewards will be there day and night for the caring of those in any need.
Bring your picnic baskets and spend time with us listening to the words and music.

What a wonderful and thrilling event! It puts courage in the heart, delight in the soul, and a sparkle in the eye at the very thought. Well done to those who birthed the vision and are carrying it out, for it is going to bless those who read and those who hear the greatest Love Letter written to mankind. Wales has been anointed with, and has developed and greatly exercised the gift of music, second to none, also with the priceless gift of hospitality..."We'll keep a welcome in the hillsides, etc.", not "We'll make a welcome". Hearing of the Bible School of Wales praying every night, all night during the second World War, with very few exceptions, is a reminder to every grateful heart of their diligence. Thanks for reminding us of the lovely Wales we remember growing up in.
