Biography:

Award-winning actress Sian Reese-Williams from the Brecon area portrays the character, Genesis Dingle, in ITV's long-running soap opera, Emmerdale.

Written bv Sian's father, Jeff Williams.

"Siân was born in the Amman Valley before moving to Swansea. She came to live in Brecon when she was four years old and attended Ysgol y Bannau and Brecon High School.

Siân won many prizes at the Urdd National Eisteddfod: recitation under 8 and under 12; singing under 8 and the folk song under 19. She won 1st prize for the girls' solo under 16 at the National Eisteddfod at Llandeilo in 1996.

She was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre of Britain for four years. In 2002 she won the "BBC Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance in a Musical" for her role in "The Dreaming" at Covent Garden.

Siân graduated in drama at the University of Hull before moving on to a Post-Grad performance course at the Royal College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

After graduating from Cardiff she moved to London and has acted in a number of theatre productions including "The Crucible", "As you like it" and "Be my baby".

She also appeared in one episode of "Cowbois ac Injans" on S4C.

Siân started filming Emmerdale in February 2008 and expects to be in the series until Christmas 2008 at least."

Whats more to say just like sian she is so so georgous, adoreable, the beesknees of the dales!Shes like a breathe of fresh air in those dales!Really enjoy watching sians portrayal of georgous genesis dingle, shes a 1 off original. Just 1 gripe how cant genesis get a boyfriend she stands out a mile with her adoreable natural beauty, im sure sian has them queuing 10 deep!Hope they make her character last for a while, years perhaps!1 things for sure life in the dingle household wont be the same with genesis!Keep up the great acting SIAN!

I think Sian's character in emmerdale is very interesting considering shes a posh young beautiful lady whos been brought up in a respectful manner by two wonderful adoptive parents then all of a sudden she finds that her real dad is Shadrach Dingle !!A scruffy, alcoholic, old dirty man.. Bless!It will be good to see how her character evolves..Good Luck for the future..
