Once a model and actress, Gill has a past in films and theatre shows. Her family background however, has its roots in fashion; her relative was Italian designer Emilio Schubert, famous for making gowns worn by Princess Margaret and Sophia Loren.
Possibly drawn by this background, design for dance-wear has been a key area of interest and career for Gill; she designed many costumes for competitions and the stage.
Following her arrival in Wales she expanded her range to include ball gowns and weddings. Despite this enthusiasm and talent for design and costume, dance was really Gill's first love.
She trained in Latin American Dance by Doris Lavelle, who with partner Monsieur Pierre had formed "The Latin American Faculty" in New York.
They were famous for bringing the dance over from Cuba after a visit there. Gill developed her flair for the Latin American dances, training with Bill Irvine and Brenda Winslade.
Gill danced and acted her way onto the stage in everything offered, even ballet, having a good deal of fun on the way. She was the T.V. adverts face of Connie Francis's comeback in an odd moment, and also worked with Cliff Richard and had small parts in a few films.
Before moving to Wales to enjoy married life - following her new husband to the heart of Wales where he lived, Gill owned and ran a busy dance studio in London for many years.
One day her handsome suitor walked in and she knew at once her life would change forever. Sadly, he recently passed away.
