Sooty the Guinea Pig

Lothario Guinea Pig

Inspiration:
Peter Stringfellow - he’s long-haired and randy as well!

How did it start:
By absolute chance! I was just a little pet on the farm, and I never got into any mischief. Then, I decided to squeeze under the fence and break in to my girlfriends’ quarters and after that night with my 24 girlfriends, I ended up with 43 children. Suddenly a media star!!!

And then:
My owner told a journalist and it was all over the news. BBC Wales came to film me, which was great because, within half an hour, most of my guinea pig kids had been found homes.

Big break:
Breaking out of my hut, making my move to the girls’ shed... and that was it!

Career highlight:
I was put in a box and taken to London to Stringfellows to meet the owner, Peter Stringfellow. Everyone said I was like him, but I think Peter knew who was the better guy! I was allowed to sit with a pretty girl and on Peter’s throne, and Peter tickled my ears! I couldn’t believe it when he made me an honorary member of his club. Recently, Peter’s had two of my sons, 'Stringy' and 'O’fellow' for his grandkids!

Tips from the top:
Be careful what you say to the press, and don’t get caught! I’ve passed this advice on to son of Sooty, 'Stringy' - named in honour of Peter.
