Underground, quarry, open cast, drift... There is still mining going on. It's not just coal they're digging for - at Clearwell Caves, they mine red, yellow, brown and purple ochre - plus things like crystals and limestone slabs.

It's the mining engineer who works out how they're going to get the stuff out of the ground. It's a job that can take you all underground all over the world.
