1.
A strong stomach. Your curiosity has to outweigh any squeamishness
you feel, if you're to spend your working life looking into the mouths
of dead people.
2. Respect and discretion. These aren't jobs to blab about;
serious crimes and real lives are involved.
3. The ability to switch off from your work when you go home.
4. A keen eye for detail. It's the minute differences in dentistry
(or fingerprints, or firearms) that can tell the story of a death.
5. Confidence in public speaking. Like as not, you'll be
called to give evidence in court of your findings as an expert witness.
