GNVQ/AVCEs

Want to stay on, but GCE Advanced is not your cup of tea? Prefer a course that links learning to the world of work? Then GNVQ/AVCEs might be what you’re looking for!

Why choose GNVQ/AVCEs?

GNVQs (General National Vocational Qualifications) and AVCE (Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education) are school or college courses which you can take on their own or alongside GCE Advanced or GCSEs. GNVQ/AVCEs are not meant to train you for a specific job but to teach you knowledge and skills that can be applied to broad career areas like Business or Health and Social Care.

There are different levels of GNVQ and AVCE to suit most people. If you have some idea of the sort of work you want to do, enjoy course work, group projects and learning through activities, why not find out more about GNVQs and AVCEs?

Want to get a more job-specific qualification? Go to Training at work.
Prefer to stick with the traditional academic route? Visit GCE Advanced.
