FAQ

9. Can I claim benefits while I am unemployed?

Job Seekers’ Allowance is usually only available to people over the age of 18. However, if you are in a particularly difficult situation, e.g. homeless, you may be able to access this.

Sometimes, in order to be eligible for most benefits, you may have to accept the offer of a training course. Training allowances are usually more than benefit!

Your local Benefits Agency can give you further details.
