About the department

The Pension and Benefits Centre manages the BBC Pension Scheme and administers other employee benefits. The Scheme is one of the largest in the UK, with a fund value of around £6 billion a combined membership of in excess of 50,000.

39 people work in the Pensions and Benefits team. Job roles include the following :

• Service line
• Administration team
• System developers
• Communications team
• Accounts
• Payroll
• Administrative support

Everyone is committed to delivering top quality service and over the last two years the team has won several industry awards.

About the placement

The work placement opportunity will give the individual an opportunity to shadow each team in the Pensions Centre and learn more about the work that they do.

Criteria

We are looking for applicants who can work well in a team, and are also comfortable working with figures. You should also have good interpersonal and communication skills.
