One of our most popular events over the last six years has been the Roadshow, where you can meet the BBC Cymru Wales team, find out more about your favourite programmes and get hands on with a range of activities.
BBC Cymru Wales Roadshow draws crowds at Llanelli
Over 3000 people came to meet the BBC Cymru Wales teams when the Roadshow pitched up at the home of the Scarlets rugby team in Llanelli on 3 July.
Presenters and programme makers were on hand to welcome visitors, alongside representatives from local community projects and partner organisations. There were more than forty activities for visitors to try and BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru broadcast live from the event.
While many visitors tried their hand at reading the news or presenting the sport and the weather, others got behind the forensic science with the BBC Crimewatch team. One of the busiest attractions was the Doctor Who production area, where some even braved a fight with a virtual Doctor Who monster.
It's good to see how BBC Cymru Wales interacts with the community
As many as 4000 of you have visited the Roadshow in each location. So far we have visited Denbigh, Butetown, Carmarthen, Aberdare, Anglesey, Haverfordwest, Newport, Lampeter, Colwyn Bay, Newtown, Maesteg, Dolgellau, Wrexham, Cwmbran, Pwllheli, Merthyr Tydfil and Llanelli.
The BBC Cymru Wales Roadshow has enabled us to forge stronger links with our audiences and discover new voices and stories
