Head of TV Commissioning for BBC Cymru Wales
Working to the Head of Programmes Clare Hudson, I am in charge of commissioning English language programmes for opt out slots on BBC 1 Wales and BBC 2 Wales. This includes all genres and involves commissioning in house and independent producers.
I work closely with Judith Winnan, Commissioning Executive for Factual and Arts programming, Sian Thomas, Head of Scheduling and Presentation, Nick Shearman, Knowledge Commissioning Executive for Independents and with Bethan Jones, Acting Head of Drama.
I help to develop the strategy for English language programmes for the BBC Wales opt out slots and lead the commissioning process which is built around one major and other more discreet and defined commissioning rounds every year.
English language television programmes form a major part of the BBC Wales output and reach more than a million Welsh viewers every week.
