Swansea Young Families
This Action for Children-Gweithredu dros Blant project works with young families that need support to live independently and to achieve a better future for themselves and their children. Staff, young people, volunteers and other services work together to help build on strengths and skills within families.

Says Project Manager Jan Stanton: "Many young families are feeling the pinch financially at the moment - and things can get even harder if you also have other issues to deal with, such as relationship breakdown or emotional problems. That is when young families need an extra bit of support from projects like ours in order to help them back onto the right track.
Donna, a young mother who has benefited from the advice and support from Swansea Young Families, says: "Before getting involved with Swansea Young Families, I just didn't know how to cope. The staff here have helped me regain my confidence and the courses they run have helped me manage my daughter better. I've made new friends as well.
"I've now completed a taster course in hairdressing and I liked it so much I'm now going to college to study it."
Swansea Young Families is run in partnership with Swansea City Council.
