Historian John Davies reflects on Christmas celebrations in rural Wales during the 1960s.

In this clip, a small front room fills with friends and neighbours who have come together to celebrate Christmas.

Historian John Davies reflects that it was usual to call in on your neighbours after Christmas, unlike today where "for a communal festival everybody locks themselves in their house and watches television".
