Merlin's traffic hazard

Nationwide, first broadcast 21 April 1975

A Nationwide report from 1975 from the famous Carmarthen Oak. Legend has it that Merlin prophesised that if tree ever falls or is cut down the town of Carmarthen will fall. Back in the 70s, the local council saw it as little more than a traffic hazard.
