Hospital Check Up

Link to the non-flash version

Four years ago the BBC cameras went into the largest hospital trust in Wales to record life on the wards.

The programmes followed patients undergoing operations, facing serious illnesses and those on a long journey back to health.

Hospital, series one and two, gave a real insight into the workings of a large hospital. Programmes covered paediatric medicine and surgery, cancer care, cardiac surgery, the intensive care unit, caring for elderly patients, emergency medicine, kidney transplantation, neurosurgery and rehabilitation and pioneering surgical techniques. You can find out more about these by watching the clips on My health explorer (above).

Hospital Check Up follows patients and their relatives from the first two series. What has happened to them since and what does the future hold for them now?

The third series of Hospital is currently in production for transmission in 2006.
