33.2 - Y 3ydd unigol - The 3rd person singular forms

Add the ending -odd to the stem of the verbs:

gweld - Fe / Mi welodd John - John saw
codi - Fe / Mi gododd hi - she got up
siarad - Fe / Mi siaradodd e(o) - he spoke

Fe chwaraeodd y tîm yn dda.
- The team played well.

Mi yfodd John ddau beint o gwrw.
- John drank two pints of beer.

Remember that in Welsh, we use the 3rd person singular form of the verb even if the subject is plural:

eistedd - Fe / Mi eisteddodd y plant - the children sat
yfed - Fe / Mi yfodd Bill a Ben - Bill and Ben drank
