21.2 - Trefn geiriau - Word order

As with introducing yourself:

Nigel ydw i.

The information comes first:

Plismon ydw i.
- I'm a policeman.

Nyrs ydw i.
- I'm a nurse.

Swyddog Datblygu gyda'r Cyngor Chwaraeon ydw i.
- I'm a Development Officer with the Sports Council.

Instead of naming the job we could say:

'Dw i'n gweithio yn Ysbyty Gwynedd / yn Boots.
- I work in Ysbyty Gwynedd / in Boots.

'Dw i'n gweithio mewn garej.
- I work in a garage.

'Dw i'n gweithio mewn siop.
- I work in a shop.

And we could combine the two replies:

Beth ydy'ch gwaith?
- What's your work / job?

'Dw i'n gweithio yn Ysbyty Gwynedd. Nyrs ydw i.
- I work in Ysbyty Gwynedd. I'm a nurse.

'Dw i'n gweithio mewn garej. Mecanic ydw i.
- I work in a garage. I'm a mechanic.

'Dw i'n gweithio gyda'r Cyngor Chwaraeon. Swyddog Datblygu ydw i.
- I work with the Sports Council. I'm a Development Officer.
