Series One | Lesson: 15 | Level: entry_level

15.4 - Am faint o'r gloch..? - At what time...?

Am faint o'r gloch mae.....? - At what time is.....?

Am faint o'r gloch mae 'Panorama' ar y teledu?
Am faint o'r gloch mae 'Pobol y Cwm'?
Am faint o'r gloch mae brecwast?
Am faint o'r gloch mae cinio?
Am faint o'r gloch mae te?
Am faint o'r gloch mae swper?

Notice the Soft Mutation after 'am':

dau - am ddau o'r gloch
tri - am dri o'r gloch
pedwar - am bedwar o'r gloch
pump - am bump o'r gloch
deg - am ddeg o'r gloch
deuddeg - am ddeuddeg o'r gloch

Fortunately the consonants 'ch' and 'h' don't mutate so we say:

am hanner awr wedi.....
am chwarter wedi.....
