By singing you make people hear, feel - but above all, react. Only select performers ever achieve this. Kapai.

David Jones, Cwmllynfell, Swansea
Wendy has performed exceptionally well and has a great chance of winning the main prize. Her performance in the Rosenblatt Recital final last night was assured and her command of languages is beguiling. Thought she was best lieder singer. Good luck tonight.

Liebe Wendy - I was so thrilled to hear and see the excerpt as Der Komponist; a simply glorious sound with an infectious charm and naturalness that leaps out at the audience, wherever the listener is. The quintessence of singing. Toi toi toi for the Big Event on Sunday. I shall be thinking of you and look forward to a rendezvous - hopefully singing together - after all too long a time. Alles Liebe, Martin PS: I am SO pleased that you stayed a mezzo!

Kate Paulin Auckland NZ

She was definitely in her element in the Mahler and the Strauss. German works really do seem like second nature to her. She is so alive when she sings them! I am not at all surprised she made the Song Prize final.

John Devlin from Dundee, Scotland
Congratulations to Wendy on winning the fourth round of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2005. She is my favourite contestant and I hope she wins the final. I love all these languages and wish I could speak several languages fluently.
