This is a true Verdian. Verdian, with glamour and heat! Delicious.

A Huge Fan, Chicago
this is EXACTLY the kind of singing opera is lacking today. what an incredible voice, and only at 25 years old! it seems irina lungu was born to sing the verismo style. i am sure we will see great things from her in the future. BRAVA!!!

Hans Vrijmoed (Holland)
You impressed me with your voice and presentation. Especially Verdi's Aroldo suited you well. (Though I feel the danger in making the voice to big. It is all there you know.) Your preformance was certainly worthwhile for a place in the final. Hope and expect to see and hear from you often. Hans Vrijmoed

Boris Drenkov, Munich
Tha was breathtaking. Your gift is tremendous- neglected by the jury, but I think that if you hoose the right repertoire you are going to achieve a lot. Good luck.

H.Dawson from Newport
Irina, I thought you were absolutely outstanding and don't understand how you were not picked for the final round. In the real world I'm sure you will gain the recognition you deserve and go on to great success around the world. Good luck for the future!

Howard Phillips Swansea
thrilling and exciting singing of the Verdi aria from "Aroldo" For me she was the winner of her heat. Comments of the presenters were too harsh, didnt agree with them at all

Carlos Cogul (London)
You are the best out of everybody in the competition with a world of a difference, Irina. I am appalled of such a jury missing the chance to recognise your talent and great artistry. If someone like Bergonzi or Scotto or Freni (to name a few) had been in the jury, you would have been the absolute winner. This jury can't understand the drammatic Itlian repertoire because is something very foreign to all of them. I will look out for your name in the Opera Houses because you are one of the greats already and definitely a winner even if the jury were too deaf too realise that. In bocca di luppo. C X

I really, really loved the Verdi, it suits yours voice. And what a beautiful voice, such a dark quality.

Ian Osborne, Bristol UK
Your voice has honey on it. However this competition turns out, you are the winner for me!

Irene from Guilford
Irina's singing of the aria from Verdi's Araldo was the most exciting thing in the competition so far

Seb - London
A total scandal you didn't win your heat! Don't understand that at all. Fingers crossed to see you in the final..

G Motley, Derby
This is a huge voice, full of potential. She sounded so much more comfortable in the Verdi than she did in the Mozart.
