Patrick Lynch from Cambridge
Good man Howard, sing like you've never sang before. (I don't mean that too literally!). I am shouting for you my friend.

Frederic Antoun from Saint Louis, MO, USA
Go Howard! Hanan's right: you have full support from Florida, but also from Missouri! Robert, Chuck, Alyson and I are all cheering for you. You'll do great!!

David, London
A brave try - and in the abstract, and interesting choice of programme. The Mozart lacked steel (he was even smiling in the recit - nothing to smile about!), and intonation problems and an intrusive vibrato spoiled the effect of the runs. Mendelssohn - hard to pull off. Strauss just needed more abandon; it would have sounded more confident if it had sounded more controlled. But - he's very young, and a late starter; I look forward to hearing how his voice develops.

T.Chessa from Rotterdam
Good voice and really the presence of a count, but I had the feeling he was not singing really free. I don't know if this was due to nerves or fatigue.

Hanan Tarabay from Pensacol, Fl.
My dear sweet Howard, Do your very best! That's all I ever ask. You have the greatest support here and you know that! All my love,Hanan.

Paolo Tich from London
A bit stiff. Sounds like a singing Businessman with a good voice.

Peter Lodahl, Hamburg
Toi-Toi-Toi Howard !!!

Did you know...
Irish flag Ireland has only missed one Competition, in 1995. They had a finalist at the first Competition back in 1983 - Patricia Bardon - who, at eighteen, was one of the two youngest singers ever to take part. In 2003 Ailish Tynan won the Song Prize.
