Helena Dix was born in Australia and studied in Melbourne with Margaret Nisbett, and in London with Elizabeth Ritchie.

She has won scholarships for her studies at the Melba Conservatorium and the Royal Academy, as well as a Countess of Munster Trust Award and a scholarship to attend the Santander Summer Festival with Tom Krause. Helena has been a finalist in both the Sydney McDonalds Aria at the Opera House and the Herald Sun Aria in Melbourne where she was runner up. She has won numerous other prizes in Australia and abroad.

Her operatic experience includes Noémie Cendrillon at RAM, Erste Dame Die Zauberflöte at RAM with Sir Colin Davis, Felice School for Fathers, and tableaux appearances as Violetta La traviata, Cio-Cio-San Madam Butterfly, Mercedes Carmen at RAM; Erste Dame Die Zauberflöte, Fiordiligi Cosi fan tutte, title role Thais, and Lola Gallantry for Victor Morris Opera Scenes, Sydney.

She has sung solo parts in Saint-Saens Oratorio de Noel and Rheinberger The Star of Bethlehem, Verdi's Requiem in Cambridge, Messiah in Melbourne, Strauss Orchestral Songs in Cambridge, Mendelssohn's Elijah in Norwich, Carmina Burana and Mozart Mass in C Minor with Royal Melbourne Philharmonic. She will sing soprano soloist Carmina Burana for Concerts from Scratch at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Helena's interests include cooking, reading, talking on the telephone, going to the theatre and travelling.

l don't like the voice in Louise.l find it a little harsh for rhe french repertory. Also she needs more training in the franch language. l susgest she listens to Renée Fleming. l am sorry , but it is that l think All the same, congratulations ,for the voice is good.
