Song Prize final

The winner of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize 2007 is Elizabeth Watts from England.

In a recital encompassing a huge range of music from the traditional Lieder repertoire to songs written in the 21st century, singers from four continents competed for the prize.

Alongside the winner, Elizabeth Watts from England, Shenyang from China, Miranda Keys from Australia, Levente Molnár from Hungary and Ryan McKinny from the USA also took part.

The prizes of the Welsh Royal Crystal and £5,000 were presented by the Competition's patron, Dame Joan Sutherland, and Ian Rosenblatt, whose support enables this event to take place.

Elizabeth Watts also gains a place on the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme, and a recital in the Rosenblatt Recital series at St John's Smith Square in London.
