Breathing Clean Air

By Sissi Cancino
September 2007, Cardiff/Mexico City

This is one of a collection of Video Nation Wales shorts made by international journalists studying with the Thomson Foundation in Cardiff during the summer of 2007.

Sissi can't believe how much green space there is in Cardiff in which to indulge her passion for running. She can't run more than 5 or 10 minutes because of the high altitude and pollution in her crowded home town - Mexico City. "People in Cardiff are so fortunate. It's quite a different experience with clean air at sea level".

Your comments

"Sissi, thanks I used to live in Mexico City too. I always admired you, you are very beautiful." Rene from Los Angeles, Apr 2008.

"Thanks for your story. I love Mexico but recognize its environmental challenges." Mary from Portland, Oregon US, Dec 2007.
