An Angel from Above

By Louise Clark
November 2003,
A digital story from Capture Wales

Louise's Angel

Louise feels she has been given another chance to live.

"In the year 2001 I had a hard time.

My Mum passed away due to cancer of the liver. I felt there was no hope for me.

I was in a black hole and couldn't get out of it because I had no family, except my Dad, and I couldn't talk to him about the things me and my Mum used to talk about.

Not long after I became pregnant.

It was as if my Mum had given me another chance to live.

My beautiful boy - was born.

It felt like it was meant to be. I had someone to love, cherish, hold and kiss.

I am now homeless and it's hard but I am keeping my chin up for Conrad.

He is my future and I will never let that go."

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I am 21, blue eyes and blonde hair.

What's your story about?
It is dedicated to my mum and it's about how my son has changed my life.

What did you find most rewarding about the workshop?
That I made the film.

Your comments

"I loved this story. Simple and sweet. To my core, it evoked the love and connection I have with my two-year old daughter." Sarah, Illinois, USA.

"It is a pretty story. From this story, I read that life is weak, but you have a brave heart." Olga Wu, Jiangsu, China.
