Elise Whitehead: The Children of Today

The Children of Today

By Elise Whitehead
21 April 2004, Nefyn
Duration: 02:35 mins

Elise remembers when things as simple as logs and an old pram created hours of fun for her and her friends. The boy next door owned a bicycle and he would share it with the other ten kids that lived on the street. They were only allowed to have a little go on it once a day, but Elise was really grateful. They also made use of the fields and the woods and played with mud, not the fancy toys that children get today.
