"Christmas morning, the time to be merry and jolly. This was my first Christmas and my mum had the great idea of having a family photo of me and my brothers beside the tree and fireplace. I was not impressed.
From this Christmas my mum made it her duty to have the family photo beside the same tree, in front of the same fireplace surrounded by the same decorations no matter how bad the hairstyles were. I remember just wanting to play with my brand spanking new bike or action man but my mum always insisted on having the photo. I was always the one who had to stand at the front and in the middle due to being the baby or the little sprog.
As the years went by, the hair got shorter, I grew taller and my face became more miserable about the annual photo. Now I tower over my mum and dad and have caught up with my brothers and am no longer the little lad in the middle.
Looking back at the photos, maybe I did want to go off and play with my toys, maybe I didn't want to be standing in that same place every year but at least the hairstyles aren't as bad now."
