About this interview
INTERVIEWER: You speak normal English with a slight Sheffield accent and you speak dialect. If you were annoyed would you go into dialect or would you stay in straight English? NATHAN: I'd go into dialect, (laughs) I'd go into dialect. INTERVIEWER: Why? NATHAN: Oh I don't know it's just sommat in me just reverts. LEON: When I get angry I go why's man and man gettin' me angry or ay NATHAN: He will stay in Sheffield and get mad but I revert I don't know why I just use my dialec' cos... I don't know, it's like when my parents, probably got it from my parents cos when they got mad they flipped into their dialec' as well so probably I jus' took it from them but I prefer it, I prefer it for some reason, don't ask me why. INTERVIEWER: Is it something about the way you , are you able to express yourself better? NATHAN: Yeah, yeah, less words, less words but they get to the point quick.
