About the interview

The participants were asked to describe how they spoke in their own words.

How do you describe your accent: "Nondescript with a Northern twang (according to my aunt who lives in Bedfordshire)."

Have there been other influences on the way you speak: "South Yorkshire 18 months - five years, Chester five years - 18 years, Reading 18 years - 24 years. My husband is from Cannock in Staffs as are a lot of our friends so I am influenced by that accent."

About this interview
I think there are,there are also cases where the...the anacronym has become the word and I've had several times where I've asked a colleague what an anacronym stands for and it's lost in the mists of time and the anacronym becomes the word.
