An interview with three people associated with the Glasgow Humane Society (a charity protecting human life in and around the river Clyde) in Humane Society House, Glasgow Green.
George Geddes Parsonage, Officer, Glasgow Humane Society
George talks about where he thinks the words 'cory fisted' and 'sinister' (for left-handed) came from.
Long description of interview: The group comprised brother and sister George and Ann Parsonage and their housekeeper, Margaret Scott. George and Ann were both interested in the subject of language. Margaret was less self-conscious about using her Scots. We met in George and Ann's birthplace, a house occupied by the Parsonage family for a number of years. George was most vocal. Conversation took off when we discussed words associated with the river.
