  • Confidence that you can turn an idea into a successful commercial venture
  • Ability to spot opportunities and come up with fresh ideas
  • Commitment and determination - we're looking for mind, body and soul!
  • Confidence in other people's abilities and capacity to spot the talents of others
  • Ability to manage risks and overcome obstacles

Whatever your background, the Village SOS Village Champions will need to be up for a new challenge, totally committed and willing to embrace change.

Thank you for your applications

It is now too late to apply to be a Village Champion.

We consider all applications carefully, but due to the high number of applicants only those people who are short listed will be contacted.

Your application form will be shared with necessary third parties, including Make Your Mark which is part of the charity Enterprise Insight and the Big Lottery Fund (once the pool of applicants has been selected).

Once the pool of possible Village Champions is in place, the BBC's role is simply that of programme making. The villages at their own discretion will select their Village Champion from the pool of applicants.
