Youth Volunteering: Adam started volunteering after his brother died. With the help of BBC Connect and Create, he made this film exploring how volunteering has eased his sorrow.
Adam
Losing his brother had a huge affect on Adam's life and he struggled to cope without him. It was only when Adam started the Duke of Edinburgh Award and volunteering, that he felt able to come to terms with his sorrow. As part of a UK Youth Volunteers project, and with the support of BBC Connect and Create, Adam has made a film about the impact volunteering has had on his life. He started helping out at a local farm and loved it. When a vacancy came up, he applied, and with the benefit of his work experience, he got the job. Adam now helps promote other volunteering opportunities. He has also received two awards for his voluntary work.
