When making feature films directors often draw all their shots as a storyboard.
You don't have to go that far for a short factual film but it is good to have a plan before you film and then be flexible when out filming.
When people get hold of a camera they often move the camera about too much and zoom in and out a lot, trying to cover all of their surroundings in a short space of time. This is fine for a music or horror video but usually not best for a factual piece.
Unless you are trying to create a special effect it is best to follow some basic guidelines
Before filming please take a look at the Health and Safety Guidelines.
