Anne's first day in Parliament
WATCH THIS VIDEO

To view the video you will need REALPLAYER

MP
By Anne Begg
It's May 1997, just after the General Election. Anne is one of the newly elected women MPs in the New Labour government and once she is sworn in she'll be representing Aberdeen South. She has just flown down to London and is in a taxi on her way to Westminster. It's a very exciting moment. She enters the House of Commons in her wheelchair, is sworn in and takes her place in the now-famous photograph of 'Blair's babes'.
