LOOTING
By Jennifer Grimshaw
As looting goes on after the taking of Baghdad, Jennifer thinks back to the black markets in Berlin after the Second World War and in London during that war. She doesn't see why British soldiers should have to put their lives on the line for a desk. Looting is infinitely better than retaliatory murder. She thinks that looting should be allowed for a while, and then impose martial law followed by a civil government. What is there that can be looted except posessions of those who supported Saddam's regime?
