By Derrick Windsor
Every three weeks in a day-long procedure Derrick needs to have his white blood cells replaced. They protect him from a host of common infections and if it isn't done, he could die. He describes how he deals with having this rare condition. Seeing people in the hospital, some who are wheelchair bound, remind him to keep a positive outlook and to make the most of the health he has.
