PORTUGUESE FIREPLACE
By Richard Reeves
Richard is passionate about the local history of the New Forest. Ninety years on he's searching for the remains of a First World War encampment just outside Lyndhurst. Whilst a solitary fireplace remains as a monument to the men who worked there during The Great War, Richard is digging a little deeper amongst the undergrowth for other pieces of the puzzle which many visitors may miss.
