RICIN
By Mike Michaels
Mike has lived in Wood Green for twenty years, and it's come a long way since he moved there. But he's concerned now because a recent seizure of the poison ricin occurred almost on his doorstep - just above his local pharmacy. He's had some leaflets through the door recently from the police and other organisations about what's going on, so quickly that it almost seems they were ready for something like this. Saddam needs to be disarmed, but the prospect of triggering off a third World War is terrifying. You can become quite paranoid - for example, will people be kept in London after a poisoning incident to try and contain it. He's just trying to get on with his everyday life, and not to think too much about what's happening so close to home.
