Mike is rueful about the violent tendencies of a stray cat that recently adopted him and his family. He finds a dead frog in his garden - the fifth or sixth so far this summer - and it's Marmalade's doing. They tried driving her away with a water pistol, and giving her food to prevent her going for the frogs - but nothing works.
