CONFUSED

Mike knows a lot of people who are confused by the situation. As his apprehension grew about the war, there was a building sense of excitement, which he imagines the soldiers must feel too - "let's get on with it". And once it had started, it's rather like supporting a football team - you urge your team to victory. He doesn't want to hurt anybody or kill anybody, he wants it to be over quickly. Every time there's an advance, there's almost a thrill, and it's a bit sickening to think and feel like that. He can see both sides of the argument...

I think that the war is a good idea, but the thought of people getting killed is absolutely terrible. Innocent people are getting killed, but did we give them enough time to get rid of their bombs?
